The Floorfillerz

DJ Vitamin D
Colorecording artist and label owner Derrick Daisey
aka Dj Vitamin D has been on a production rampage that is gaining
him international attention. The success of the undeniably catchy "That
Latin Track" on IHR has labels and dancefloors taking notice
of this long time veteran of the dance scene. Wait 'till they get
a load of the tracks under the moniker FLOORFILLERZ (with producer/dj
Sean Biddle) , which kicks harder but is just as catchy. But hold
up that is the future and we should bring you up to speed on the
past.
Derrick has made his life from music in one way
or another for nearly a decade. A shift from the warm sun of California
to the frosty mile high city of Denver forced Derrick inside to
focus on producing. Since then he has played the main stages the
world over and brought Dj Vitamin D the notoriety that took him
on tour across the US, Canada, Mexico and Asia.
Derrick's sound has been refined and recognized
as a banging and dirty perfection of house music. With the more
than 30 tracks (several as the duo The Floorfillerz) due out
in 2003 and the studio just getting warmed up this sure to be
one artist that will be tough to keep up with.
Sean Biddle
„House music so nasty it's guaranteed
to leave you dirty and wet."
Although his musical career started with playing
keyboard in a high school band, Sean Biddle's real passion began
years later when he was exposed to the rave scene in Colorado.
With his creativity ignited, Sean, at age 20, released his first
record "The Lift" on Daisey Age Records, and established
a working relationship with DJ Vitamin D. Sean has been churning
out dirty bangin' Chicago house music ever since. The past few
years have been prolific for this young upstart - 25 tracks released
on 15 different labels. His track "Malfunktion," which
recently was released on Moonshine, plays on MTV's Making the Video,
while his side project, "Funk the D," plays on Road Rules
and The Real World. An upcoming release, "3 a.m. In 5 Points" on
Nocturnal recordings, a new label off Dis~funktional, has already
charted overseas.
Sean's ongoing collaboration with Vitamin D under
the moniker, The Floorfillerz, includes a foray into the world
of label management. The two founded the label, Colorecordings,
which will feature releases by Hipp-E, Brother Brown (Copenhagen),
Pound Boys, DJ Nique and Sean's own The Floorfillerz. The label
has drawn support from Sneak, Junior Sanchez, and the H-Foundation,
who have all played tracks off it.He isn't stopping there, either.
While he infuses Colorecordings with his inventiveness and energy,
he continues to look for new opportunities. His studio repertoire
now includes engineer work for Look At You Records, most recently
working alongside the Pound Boys, remixing "Music Soulchild." Sean
can be seen tearing up the turntables as well, playing alongside
house luminaries such as Eddie Amador, Eric Davenport and Angel
Alanis. Keep an eye out for this purveyor of dirty, chunky Chi
town-inspired house music. We've just had a taste of what's to
come as house music clears a top-notch spot for this exciting young
producer.
